Is the Honda Accord environmentally friendly?
I know that basically any car is not totally healthy but how is the Honda Accord? I can't afford to buy a smartcar or a hybrid, so this is my option! At least it isn't a hummer, right? :)

- Yes, very much so. Avg. fuel efficiency for the 2008 is 26 mpg for the four cylinder. And it is a nice car, and Honda dealers are easy to deal with when you need maintenance and repair.
- No, the Accord is quite large and pretty powerful, so it only gets 25 mpg, and it costs nearly as much as a Prius (and more than a Smartcar) at $19,000. http://autos.yahoo.com/newcars/model/overview.html;_ylt=Ale8KJD7KFlVwcBJkT6_39IEc78F;_ylv=3?modelId=5565 Consumer Reports just named the Honda Fit the best car for under $25,000. It costs $15,000 and gets 36 mpg, so it's both a lot cheaper and a lot better for the environment than the Accord, and according to Consumer Reports, a better car overall. http://autos.yahoo.com/articles/autos_content_landing_pages/500/best-vehicles-for-25000-or-less;_ylc=X3oDMTE3bjNzc2hlBF9TAzI3MTYxNDkEc2VjA2ZwLXRvZGF5BHNsawMyNWstb3ItbGVzcw-- http://autos.yahoo.com/green_center-fuel_gasoline-cars/ A couple of other reasonably green and affordable cars are the Toyota Yaris and Ford Focus.
