1. toyota puris and honda civic they barlely take gas so.
2. interestingly - all cars are designed to give u about 400 miles per tankful. My van has a 20 gal tank and gets 24 MPG. avg My Prius has a 10 gal tank and gets 48MPG avg My sons truck had a 40 gal tank and got about 10 MPG
3. diesel! a small diesel engine in a small car will give you the best fuel efficiency. toyota prius and honda insight dont' give you great mileage all mileage stickers lie on those cars.
4. The Honda Insight Hybrid gets much better gas mileage than the Prius but is unfortunately discontinued. The Geo Metro also gets comparable gas mileage. Also most small cars with diesel engines.
